Update: Legislative Priorities and Support for Veterans
Written by Steve Martin
"Over the past week, I've been privileged to participate in events and programs honoring our veterans in our schools, churches, memorials, American Legion Posts, and on the grounds of Chesterfield's historic courthouse. Three of them were yesterday, on Veterans Day 2014 itself. My thanks to all who participated in each event.
No matter what I do to say "thank you," it will never be sufficient to express my gratitude for the liberty my family and I, have as a result of our veterans' service. Again, I say: thank you!"

"Today, the Virginia General Assembly is having a Special Session to consider one issue: Medicaid expansion. My position has been, and continues to be, that expanding Medicaid on a promise from our federal government that "the money will be there" to fund it in future years is too risky. Virginia citizens and families deserve better than to have their future -- and their children's futures -- placed in such economic jeopardy."
